We are realistic in our approach to sustainability and know that every business has different ways in which they can support the environment. That’s why we actively seek out every opportunity to act in a sustainable way throughout all our divisions, whether that’s using vegetable-based inks in our print, eliminating the use of void-fill in our packaging or sourcing eco-friendly office product alternatives for our customers.

Meet Tom Taylor,
Our Sustainability Manager

Leading our journey is our Sustainability Manager, Tom Taylor.

Tom’s role is multifaceted, including the development and implementation of strategies to minimise ACS’ environmental impact. As well as collaborating closely with our customers, helping them achieve their green objectives and reduce their carbon emissions.

Tom’s expertise is backed by a solid educational foundation, having completed the Business Sustainability Management course from Cambridge University. His passion for sustainability is evident in his active involvement in the community.

He has run a sustainability peer group and has been a speaker on numerous sustainability panels, sharing his insights and experiences.

Tom also works with our supply chain partners, striving to influence and promote sustainable practices throughout the industry. His holistic approach ensures that ACS not only meets its sustainability goals but also supports our customers and partners in their environmental initiatives.

SUPPORTING OUR CUSTOMERS’ GREEN OBJECTIVES

At the heart of our sustainability efforts is our commitment to supporting our customers on their green journey. Whether it’s collaborating directly with their sustainability teams to share advice and insights on measuring carbon emissions or conducting environmental reviews to identify opportunities for reducing their carbon footprint, we are dedicated to making a positive impact.

Through our partnerships, we have successfully helped customers lower their emissions by promoting green product purchasing, consolidating orders, and responsibly recycling IT devices.

One notable initiative was our ‘No Order August’ campaign for a large public sector customer, where they utilised existing supplies for the entire month, significantly reducing waste.
